Rosacea, n. : Chronic and progressive inflammatory condition which principally affects the face. Among other things, manifests through extreme skin reactivity.
Millions of people suffer from sensitive or allergenic skin frustrations including transitory or permanent redness, small dilated vessels, spots on the cheeks, wings of the nose or chin, dry or irritated eyes. And yet, 80% of people presenting the clinical signs of this condition do not know what they have. This appearance-altering problem can be highly embarrassing, particularly since it is accompanied by genuine sensations of discomfort: hot flushes, stinging, burning sensations… symptoms that are disabling both psychologically and socially and which negatively impact upon patients’ daily lives.
La Roche-Posay is trying to help Canadians that are frustrated with their sensitive skin, find ultimate skin comfort through education and the use of the right moisturizer. Rosaliac AR Intense unique packaging technology allows for the product to be 100% preservative-free which makes it a great choice for Canadians with sensitive and allergenic skin.
Concerned about what’s in it? La Roche-Posay Rosaliac products are paraben free, fragrance free, alcohol free, colourant free and lanolin free and have been adapted to the heightened sensitivity of redness-prone skin. They also come in ultra hermetic patented packaging that eliminates the need for preservatives. The packaging also ensures 0% contamination, oxidation, dry residue and waste.
La Roche-Posay has also recently launched the ReacSkin movement on the La Roche-Posay Canada Facebook page to empower Canadians to feel more comfortable in their sensitive skin. Within the Facebook application, users will share their sensitive skin story with La Roche-Posay. After they have tried it, La Roche-Posay encourages Canadians to come back and review Rosaliac AR Intense on the ReacSkin application and spread the word on this movement so that every Canadian will have a chance to experience soothing relief.

La Roche-Posay respects the environment
One thing that we find very impressive about La Roche-Posay is its’ commitment to the environment in everything they do to bring their products to market. Below is a list of steps they have taken to ensure their products are as green as possible:
- A pure, protected thermal spring water – Over 1,700 years old and known for its dermatological properties, La Roche-Posay thermal spring water is protected
against all pollution from its emergence to the thermal points of use to guarantee quality.
- Environmentally respectful factories – All of their factories are certified to ISO 14001 and put ambitious waste management, water saving and CO2 emission reducing objectives into place (-50% less CO2 between now and 2015 compared to 2005, mainly thanks to their geothermal program).
- More ecological packaging – They favor packs made of one substance only to aid recycling. Thus 98% of materials used in their bottles can be recycled where schemes are in action. They also use adapted cardboard boxes sourced from 100% sustainably managed forests to avoid high-volume over packaging.
- Their packaging is free of heavy metals – This measure allows them to avoid any contamination of our formulas by potentially toxic heavy metals, and to avoid
polluting the environment.
