Pampering yourself is an important thing to do. Although, I can honestly admit that I don’t do it as often as I should (or even as often as I want to). Time and money can often be the things that stop many of us from doing nice things for ourselves. It is possible to pamper ourselves without breaking the bank every month. It is all about pampering ourselves on a budget.
There are things we can do every day that don’t need to take up a lot of time or a lot of money. Small things can mean so much.
1. Take a soak.
Steal a few minutes for yourself and soak in a nice hot bath. Add a little bubbles and a good book and you can really relax. And don’t forget to lock the door to ensure that you can have time all to yourself (if kids are home you can handle the door knocking and shouting for Mom every few minutes. Just ignore it!)
2. Be Your Own Barista
I love to make myself a fancy coffee every once in a while. I have a cappuccino machine but it doesn’t have to be coffee, make yourself a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate. It just should be something that is a bit of a splurge for you. It is low on cost but has high impact if you take this fancy drink with a good book and a comfy spot on the couch. Add some whipped cream, chocolate drizzle or a little cinnamon to make it even more special. It is all about stealing some time away for you.
3. Take a nap
There is nothing better than a good nap. Sometimes 20 minutes is all I need to recharge my batteries. It feels like such a luxury to do. It is a small thing that has huge impact for your mind, body and spirit.
Sure, going to the salon is great but it can really add up in the time and money bank. There is nothing wrong with doing it at home. Soak your feet and hands in some warm water with some pretty smelling soap. File, buff and paint up your nails. Again, it is really all about taking the time for YOU! Make you the priority for a few minutes every day.
There are a lot of home brew recipes that can give you a beautiful glow using many common kitchen ingredients. Just taking the time to use a nice cream or lotion is worth doing. It is something I forget to do for myself often but when I do I feel great. And isn’t that what ME TIME is all about?
Do you have any budget friendly pampering tips? What do you do to treat yourself well?
